TEMPLESTOWE LOWER - OUTDOOR DECKING WITH KARRI TIMBER

The owner of this home in Templestowe Lower, Victoria was looking for durable timber to create his outdoor living space. McCormacks Australia’s owner, Phil, suggested Karri Timber Decking and the client immediately fell in love with the colour.

The project involved building an expansive deck space covering both an undercover and exposed area, including around the sunken spa. Initially, the roof was to expand over the entire decking space, however it was decided to leave it partially exposed to allow for more natural light. The seating area allows the family and guests to soak up the sun and enjoy the space for casual entertaining or relaxing.

The end result is pride for the owner and reinforces the decision to tear down the old bungalow was a good one, not only expanding the family’s living space, but also increasing the value of the home.
